WiFi at STU is possible within the Eduroam project - an infrastructure that enables free connection of students and staff within the computer networks of participating institutions.

Warning 12.10.2020: The root CA will soon be exchanged on the authentication servers.

Therefore, if you have configured the WiFi connection using the eduroam CAT tool, you must use it to reinstall the eduroam WiFi profile on your device as soon as possible.

Connection procedure:

1. Obtaining access data for STU employees and students

• Log in to the Academic Information System
• In the Technology and Management section, open Remote Access to the University Network
• Click "Generate Password"

2. Obtaining an automatic network profile installer for setting up the eduroam site using the eduroam CAT tool

Supported OS: Microsoft Windows, Linux, Apple, Android, Chrome.

Go to https://cat.eduroam.org/

• Click on the button:

• Select STU organization:

• The site automatically detects your computer's operating system and offers the necessary installer for download. Alternatively, you can download another installer for another device:
  

• After downloading, run the installer. According to the instructions, enter your login details in the form login@stuba.sk and the password generated in AIS.
  

Technical parameters of connection to FCHPT STU:

• SSID: eduroam
• Security type: WPA2-Enterprise and Authentication method must be selected PEAP.
• AES encryption type.
• PEAP authentication method.
• The authentication method must be set to EAP-MSCHAP v2.
