/ Select the Add printer or scanner option.
/ In the next window, scroll down and select the option The printer that I want is not listed (the option appears only after a few seconds).
/ In the Add printer window, select Add a printer using TCP/IP address.
/ From the drop-down menu, select: Device type and TCP/IP device. Fill in the host name 127.0.0.1 and the port name, e.g. myq-01.
/ Automatic scanning will start.
/ In the port information window, select the Custom option and continue with the Settings button.
/ The LPR protocol (1) must be selected in the Port Settings window. Add the name of the queue in the print server that we will assign to you (2) and finally check the box: Enable bit counting (3).
/ After confirming the setting and returning to the previous window, press the Next button to continue to the printer driver selection window. In the list of printers, select the driver according to the manufacturer and then the printer model. If the specific driver for the printer is not there, you must download the driver for the printer from the manufacturer's website and select the From disk option in the window.
/ After selecting the driver and clicking the next button, write the name of the printer. (E.g. Printer Name or Room)
/ The driver will be installed. It may take some time.
/ If not default, select the option Do not share the printer.
/ You can still print a test page.
Important information:
- The MyQ application is required for your PC to connect to the print server.
- If you were not able to print the test page, you probably had not installed the MyQ application or the application was set incorrectly.
