If you use authentication via your STU employee hybrid card to enter the secured parts of UIS (Final theses, Teacher's notebook, ...) and you encounter a problem where UIS does not allow you to enter your PIN code, it is most likely due to the fact that you have an employee card older than 5 years and the validity of the generated certificate has therefore expired already.

The solution to this problem is:

1. activating an alternative method of authentication using OTP technology in your mobile phone. Instructions can be found attached. In case of any problem, contact your faculty integrator.

2. generating a new certificate for your employee card (it is not necessary to issue a new card). However, this requires your personal visit to the PKI administrator at CVT STU. It is necessary to make an appointment with the administrator at pki@stuba.sk.

Also, a combination of both solutions is possible, so you will have a choice of authentication method.
