Frequently Asked Question

How do I set a new password for accessing the faculty's networks and services?
Last Updated 3 months ago

Passwords for accessing the faculty's services and networks are set via the website

The "Log In" button on the left side of the page will redirect you to the login page. Enter your university login here. The login name is entered in the form of a UID or as an e-mail. Ex.: "jankop" or "".

After logging in, you will be shown detailed information for creating or changing a password for access to faculty networks and services.

The password should be meaningless at first glance - it must not contain words from any world language, names, dates of birth and namedays, etc. Your new password must meet the requirements below. A suitable password is composed of several letters, numbers and special characters. The chosen words should not have any connection with you or the university - proper names, dates or geographical names can be easily guessed. Also, avoid too simple passwords such as sequences (1234, qwertz) or simple words (password, login). Substituting letters for characters such as @ instead of a, or $ instead of s, will not increase password strength much.

  • The password must be strong, it cannot be a dictionary word or be based on your identification characters such as first name, last name, email, etc.
  • Minimum length of 8 characters
  • At least one capital letter
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character

Please, remember: It is important to use strong passwords to minimize a chance of misuse of your access.
